Homeostasis

Controlling the Fire of Life
Since man discovered how to control fire his path has changed. From that beginning we now bask in warm protected environments and cook our food with the control of fire. We know instinctively the danger of fire and that the flames of an uncontrolled fire can devour everything in its path until the fuel is spent and only ash remains.

The Fire In Each of us

The fire that burns in the mind/ body complex of humanity serves the same process. In holistic health terms the fire launches the inspiration of humanity to strive and achieve. Control of the human fire is called homeostasis (balance). If the right amount of quality fuel (nutrition and inputs) is furnished for the mind and body the life force operates at optimum capacity. When compromised with inappropriate inputs the complex weakens and disease appears.

The Challenge of the Past

Historically mankind was challenged with the cycles of feast, famine, disease, pestilence, environment and the perils of life. Fear dominated life so people gathered and shared faith. The promise of heaven anchored society and church leaders dominated society as they controlled the fire of an individual’s life including both food and activity.

The Challenge of Today

Today’s challenge is new. The fear of God’s wrath has lessened and we live with of thousands of lifestyle and food choices. Instead of church leaders we are guided by advertising and dependent on government to maintain our lifestyle and our health. The fire of life is used to digest unneeded inputs and our ability to control it challenges us. The issues of obesity, diabetes, asthma, colon disease, mobility, mental imbalance, and many other manmade diseases as war, defense, and modern fear are caused by our modern lifestyle. These inputs enter from:

  • Polluted Air
  • Polluted Water
  • Processed Food
  • Chemical Poisoning
  • Over Eating of Junk Food
  • Consuming Drugs

Resulting in:

  • Lowered Immune Response
  • Numerous Disease Complications
  • Mental imbalance
  • Burdened  Digestive System
  • Confused Thinking Process

Balancing your fire

These issues plague the modern individual in western society reducing our ability to balance our life.  Balancing the fire comes from deep within our spiritual essence and is reached with introspection.
